David Power has been appointed as the new Tipperary senior football manager.

Power, who guided Tipperary to All Ireland minor glory in 2011, replaces Liam Kearns.

On Monday evening the Tipperary County Board ratified Power, who has also managed Wexford for two years.

Michael McGeehin, Paddy Christie, and Charlie McGeever will act as selectors, while Joe Hayes and Tommy Toomey are involved in Power's backroom too.
