'World GAA Connects' Forum

What?
A distinguished line-up of speakers from politics, business and sport will take part in the World Games Connects event, a forum which will feature keynote addresses and a panel discussion focused on international engagement, diaspora and business connections.

When and where?
Thursday, July 16, 4pm-5.10pm, Waterford City Council Buildings, The Mall, Waterford.

Who?
The evening will begin with a welcome and introductions before moving into a series of keynote presentations from European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath, GAA President Jarlath Burns and Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport with Special Responsibility for Sport and Postal Policy Charlie McConalogue.
A panel discussion, chaired by RTÉ broadcaster Damian Lawlor, will follow, bringing together representatives from government, industry and enterprise. Panellists include Minister of State for International Development and Diaspora Neale Richmond, Kingspan Group plc Head of Corporate Affairs Anthony Doherty, Enterprise Ireland Director MENA Stephen Twomey and Abode Wellness co-founder Siobhan Greevy.

The event programme also includes a number of pre-recorded video presentations, while video highlights from the week’s World GAA Games will be shown during the conclusion of the evening.
Running to a structured format, the event comprises welcome remarks, keynote speakers, the panel discussion and a closing segment, where attendees will be thanked for their participation.
