More than 2,000 players and support staff from across the globe will descend on Waterford from July 13-17th for the biggest oneills.com GAA World Games ever staged.
Teams representing every corner of the international GAA family will travel to Waterford, including Europe, Britain, Canada, USGAA, New York, Australasia, Asia, the Middle East, South America and Africa.
A record 113 teams will compete across Gaelic football, Ladies Gaelic football, hurling, camogie and handball, making the 2026 event the largest World Games since the competition began. The festival will also feature rounders exhibitions, alongside a packed cultural and social programme celebrating Irish heritage and the worldwide GAA community.
The Games will be based at SETU Waterford from Monday to Thursday, with the finals taking place at Azzurri Walsh Park on Friday, July 17th. The week begins with a spectacular opening parade through Waterford city on Monday evening, bringing together players from every participating nation before the official opening ceremony.
