Donegal produced an impressive display to defeat Cavan at Kingspan Breffni.

Seanan Carr and Paddy McElwee netted opening period goals for Donegal, who led 2-9 to 0-7 at half-time.

After the restart Cavan, with Darragh Lovett prominent, narrowed the gap down to three points.

In the closing stages Carr and Luke McGlynn clipped vital scores for Donegal, who prevailed.
