Tailteann Cup
Preliminary Quarter-Final
Fermanagh v New York, Brewster Park, 3pm, GAA+
It has been an encouraging stint in the Tailteann Cup for Fermanagh.
Following a disappointing Allianz Football League and Ulster Championship, Declan Bonner's outfit have responded impressively.
Inspired by Ronan McCaffrey and Darragh McGurn, Fermanagh registered a couple of home wins to generate momentum.
New York, though, will be intent on causing a surprise. In the Connacht SFC, Roscommon proved too strong for New York, but Frank O'Reilly and Killian Butler did impress.
Round Three
London v Sligo, McGovern Park, 1pm
Michael Maher's excellent work with London means that Sligo will afford the home team the utmost respect in Ruislip.
So impressive when beating Waterford, London subsequently lost to Laois despite Joe McGill Shay Rafter, and Ciarán Diver all contributing healthy scoring returns.
Sligo, who lost to Tipperary in Round One, also overcame Waterford in Dungarvan with Niall Murphy, Lee and Shane Deignan prominent.
With a place in the last eight the prize, this should be a lively affair.
Leitrim v Wexford, Heartland Credit Union Páirc Seán MacDiarmada, 2pm
Two counties, who have enjoyed positive moments in 2026 collide in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Wexford's development under John Hegarty is one of Gaelic football's success stories in recent years, but they will want to reach the latter stages of the Tailteann Cup.
With Seán Ryan, Ben Brosnan, and Paraic Hughes in decent form, Wexford will be striving to produce another competent performance.
Leitrim defeated Carlow in Round 2B with Paul Honeyman supplying three two pointers, while Ryan O'Rourke and the effective Mark Diffley also supplying inspiration.
Wicklow v Tipperary, Echelon Park, 5pm
Another attractive match looms in Aughrim involving two counties, who will believe that they can embark on an adventure in this competition.
Wicklow examined Dublin's resolve in Leinster and played well when defeating Limerick 4-17 to 2-14 in Round 2B.
Dean Healy remains a dynamic midfielder, while Malachy Stone and goalkeeper Mark Jackson are other talented figures in Oisín McConville's panel.
Niall Fitzgerald is quietly carrying out impressive work with Tipperary, who feature the prolific Seánie O'Connor, Steven O'Brien, and Paudie Feehan.
Longford v Down, Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, 6pm, GAA+
Having lost to Offaly, Tailteann Cup favourites Down face a tricky task in the midlands.
Conor Laverty is a shrewd manager, though, and will have his team primed for a battle against Longford.
Pat Havern, Odhran Murdock, and Ceilum Doherty are important players for Down, who will be striving to respond following the Offaly reversal.
Longford's away win over Clare in Round 2B was an impressive result with Dylan Farrell and Oran Kenny combining to score 2-11 between them for Mike Solan's team.
