GAA.ie Hurler of the Week nominees

Galway’s Ronan Glennon, Limerick’s Gearóid Hegarty, and Clare’s Peter Duggan are this week's nominees for GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

Ronan Glennon – Galway

Ronan Glennon was outstanding at wing-back for Galway in Saturday’s All-Ireland SHC semi-final win over Cork. He scored three brilliant points from play and his defending was heroic.

Gearoid Hegarty – Limerick

When Limerick needed leaders in the second-half of their All-Ireland SHC semi-final victory over Clare, none stood taller than the towering Hegarty. His ability to win ball and draw fouls dragged Limerick back into the game and his use of possession was top class too.

Peter Duggan - Clare

Peter Duggan produced a warrior’s performance for Clare in their All-Ireland SHC semi-final defeat to Limerick. He scored three brilliant points, won the penalty that Tony Kelly converted, and was a hugely effective outlet for puck-outs throughout the game.
