Sam Mulroy's late goal sealed a hugely satisfying 1-12 to 1-8 win for improving Louth against Antrim.
A key match for both counties, Louth carved out a victory as Mulroy pounced to score a 63rd minute major.
At half-time Louth led by 0-7 to 0-4, but Antrim responded as Dermot McAleese struck a goal.
Louth, though, remained cool with the in form Mulroy landing the decisive blow.
Dean Healy and Eoin Darcy clipped vital late points as Wicklow enjoyed an encouraging 0-20 to 2-13 win over Longford.
It capped a great fightback from Wicklow, who conceded two early goals in the midlands.
Jack Duggan and Darragh Doherty netted for Longford, who moved 2-1 to 0-2 in front after 10 minutes.
A determined Wicklow responded with Darcy and Mark Kenny contributing important scores.
Sean Quigley's late free ensured Westmeath and Fermanagh divided the spoils at TEG Cusack Park, 1-9 to 0-12.
Fermanagh had Ryan Jones sent off for two yellow cards in the closing stages, but they still earned a draw.
Ronan O'Toole had guided Westmeath in front, but Quigley levelled.
David Lynch's first half goal helped Westmeath into a 1-5 to 0-5 interval advantage, but Fermanagh battled back.
Ciaran Corrigan impressed, while Quigley was sharp too as the spoils were eventually shared.
