Paul Shankey steps down as Waterford senior football team manager

Paul Shankey has stepped down as manager of the Waterford senior football team.

On Thursday morning, Waterford GAA released a statement confirming Shankey's decision.

"Paul Shankey has informed the Waterford County Board that he has decided not to take up the option of a third year as manager of the Waterford senior football team," the statement said.

"Over the past two seasons, Paul has brought professionalism and dedication to the role, helping to guide the team through a period of development and transition."
