Electric Ireland Munster Minor Football Championship Phase One Round Two
CLARE 1-10 TIPPERARY 0-6
WATERFORD 1-7 LIMERICK 0-10
It was another satisfactory evening for Clare, who delivered a powerful second half display to defeat Tipperary at Cusack Park.
The first score of the game didn't arrive until the 21st minute courtesy of a Kyle Shelly point for Tipperary, but Clare responded.
Eoin Talty's opening period goal ensured the home team led by 1-2 to 0-3 at the interval.
When the action recommenced Clare, with Shane Meehan prominent, edged five points clear.
A point from Shelly trimmed the deficit, but Clare finished strongly as Meehan, Jamie Stack, and substitute Stephen Casey drilled points for Dermot Coughlan's impressive outfit, who claimed a place in the Phase One Final.
At Fraher Field Waterford and Limerick divided the spoils as Aaron Ryan registered a late score for the Deise.
Ryan struck a goal before the break for Waterford, who led by 1-4 to 0-3 at the turnaround.
Limerick, though, enjoyed a productive stint to edge two points in front late on, but Waterford earned a draw.
