Colm Collins will remain in charge of the Clare footballers in 2020.

The highly regarded Collins is encouraged that his backroom team have all committed to the Clare cause for another campaign.

"The important thing is that we have a fantastic group of people working with us and as long as that group wanted to stay I was prepared to stay," Collins told Clare GAA TV. "We are all delighted they have committed to staying."

Collins believes significant talent exists in Clare.

"The most important thing when you are working with any group of players is to get the most out of them, to get them to play to their potential, to give them every opportunity to achieve what they can achieve," Collins added.

"That is basically it, so whatever group ends up in our panel for 2020, that we can achieve with that group of players. That will be key."

Impressive work has been carried out in the underage grades in recent years and Collins expects to integrate some of the emerging footballers soon.

"Thankfully we have gone through a couple of very good minor teams, there is a lot of those players showing up really well in the Senior Championship," Collins admits. "We are looking forward to working with these guys in the coming year."
