Dioralyte Walsh Cup Round One

Dublin 0-23 Carlow 0-17

Wexford 1-20 Laois 0-17

Adverse weather conditions impacted Sunday's schedule significantly, but Dublin and Wexford triumphed in the two matches that were played.

An impressive second half display ensured Dublin prevailed against Carlow at SETU Carlow Camps.

Dublin were 0-13 to 0-11 ahead at the interval following a keenly contested opening period.

After the restart, Dublin seized the initiative as Dara Purcell, Diarmaid Ó Dulaing, and Liam Mostyn fired over crucial points. Ó Dulaing was in splendid form for Dublin, clipping 0-11, including five from play.

That Dublin burst guided Niall Ó Ceallacháin's charges seven clear and Carlow, who had been level at 0-11 each in the 28th minute, couldn't recover.

In Rathdowney, Wexford registered a victory against Laois, who were 0-9 to 0-7 to the good at half-time.

Jack Kelly nudged Laois into a three point advantage before Ciaran Regan struck an equalising goal for Wexford.

Scores from Eamon Wickham, Simon Roche, and Ross Banville mattered as Keith Rossiter's outfit prevailed.

Wexford will now face Dublin in the quarter-final of the Dioralyte Walsh Cup.
