Nickie Quaid voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week

Nickie Quaid has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The Limerick goalkeeper received 3,916 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Galway's Tom Monaghan (2,322) and Laois' Cillian Dunne (1,779).

Nickie Quaid (Limerick)

Experienced Limerick custodian Nickie Quaid was at his brilliant best in Sunday's dramatic Munster SHC Final against Cork at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Quaid made a couple of remarkable saves as Limerick prevailed.

Tom Monaghan (Galway)

Galway won a first Leinster SHC title since 2018 on Saturday with Tom Monaghan an influential figure for Micheál Donoghue's outfit. Monaghan struck seven sweet points from play for the Tribesmen.

Cillian Dunne (Laois)

Saturday's Joe McDonagh Cup decider was lit up by Cillian Dunne's sharp finishing. The classy Laois attacker struck 1-6 from play for Tommy Fitzgerald's team.
