Leinster SFC Final

Dublin v Louth, Croke Park, 1.45pm, RTE

These are encouraging times for Louth football, who face a daunting task against the standard bearers at Croke Park.

Dublin, looking for a 14th Leinster SFC title in a row, have been ruthless when dismissing Meath and Offaly at GAA headquarters.

Louth, with Conor Grimes and Sam Mulroy prominent, have generated momentum by overcoming Wexford and Kildare en route to a second provincial decider in a row.

Ciarán Downey and Ryan Burns are others impressing in the Louth forward line, while Anthony Williams and Donal McKenny are influential figures in defence for Ger Brennan's team.

With the minor and U20 Louth teams enjoying productive moments this year, the future appears bright with Ger Brennan's seniors also delivering gritty displays.

Con O'Callaghan and Paul Mannion have been hugely effective for Dublin, who were beaten by Derry on penalties in the Allianz Football League Division One Final.

Dessie Farrell has rotated his panel well throughout league and championship so far, and Dublin will be eager to add more silverware to the extensive collection.

Ulster SFC Final

Donegal v Armagh, St Tiernach's Park, 4pm, RTE/BBC

An eagerly anticipated Ulster SFC showpiece in Clones features two evenly matched teams.

Several sub-plots exist with Jim McGuinness and Kieran McGeeney's teams intent on hoisting the Anglo Celt Cup.

The counties have already clashed twice in 2024 in Division Two of the Allianz Football League. A group stage draw was followed by a Donegal triumph in the decider.

Since then Donegal have defeated Derry and Tyrone to ensure that hope is attached to the senior football team in the county.

Ryan McHugh's return has been a significant addition, while Paddy McBrearty and Oisín Gallen are excellent attackers for Donegal.

McGeeney's team have beaten Fermanagh and Down in the Ulster Championship with Aidan Forker, Stefan Campbell and Rory Grugan prominent.

Armagh's last provincial title was secured back in 2008 so they are especially eager to make an impact on Sunday.

Donegal's 10th Ulster crown was captured five years ago and they are primed for another battle at the weekend.

Armagh: Blaine Hughes; Paddy Burns, Aaron McKay, Peter McGrane; Joe McElroy, Ciarán Mackin, Aidan Forker; Rian O'Neill, Ben Crealey; Stefan Campbell, Rory Grugan, Jarly Óg Burns; Oisín Conaty, Andrew Murnin, Conor Turbitt.
