The Mayo star received 3,546 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Donegal's Jason McGee (3,367) and Roscommon's Daire Cregg (3,119).

It was another encouraging display from Mayo with Jordan Flynn highly effective as Andy Moran's charges defeated Monaghan. The Crossmolina Deel Rovers clubman supplied five points and was an influential figure.

Jason McGee (Donegal)

These are exciting times for Donegal with Jason McGee starring in Sunday's victory over Armagh. McGee scored four points, demonstrating his ability for Jim McGuinness' in-form team.

Daire Cregg (Roscommon)

Outstanding in Roscommon's impressive Allianz Football League campaign, Daire Cregg delivered in style against Galway in Salthill. Cregg contributed 1-7 for Mark Dowd's rapidly improving outfit.
