The football finals of the GAA Musco Lighting Talent Academy are being played this weekend, capping off a year that gave some of the country's most promising underage county players a stage to keep developing beyond their clubs and schools.
Through a programme of structured regional competitions, participants got regular, high-level game time against peers of a similar standard, sharpening their skills and building experience to carry into the county pathway.
Conor O'Donoghue, Chairperson of the National DCCC, is delighted with the success of the competitions in 2026. "This season marked the start of the GAA's partnership with Musco Lighting, we're grateful for their backing and look forward to building on it in the years ahead," O'Donoghue remarked.
"Thanks are also due to the coaches, county officials, and volunteers who planned and ran the regional competitions, and to every player who took part. Watching this group compete has been a strong reminder of the talent coming through the underage ranks."
