John McGrath (Tipperary)
An epic Munster SHC clash in Ennis between Clare and Tipperary went the distance with John McGrath instrumental for the visiting team. McGrath finished with a 2-3 haul for Liam Cahill's improving outfit.
Cathal Mannion (Galway)
Cathal Mannion scored 0-17, including six sweet points from play, as Galway earned a crucial Leinster SHC win over Wexford at Pearse Stadium. The skilful Galway forward was a key figure throughout for Micheál Donoghue's team.
James Duggan (Laois)
Five first half goals from James Duggan helped Laois register an important Joe McDonagh Cup win over Kerry. The splendid Duggan finished the game with a personal tally of 5-2.
