Undoubtedly, the medals mean so much for Cian Lynch during a golden era in the Limerick hurling story. The memories count, too.
Hurling was always on the agenda in Patrickswell. So, Lynch knows all about the value of the fun and friendships made along the way. "We all grow up aspiring to play sport - representing your club and getting the opportunity to represent my own club Patrickswell with Limerick -that's huge," Lynch explains.
"You're trying to cherish these moments, whatever game it is. Whatever day - whether it's early at the start of the year in the Munster League, the National League, as the year goes on you just want to make as many memories with the lads you're playing with.
"Obviously, seeing how it impacts people in Limerick because they're fantastic."
The resilient manner of Limerick's recent victories over Cork and Clare bodes well according to Lynch. "It was a fantastic game," Lynch remarks about the Clare triumph.
"Obviously, we knew coming up against Clare, the players they have, the team they are, and the battles we've had, we were delighted.
"It's great, everyone wants to be winning games. The Munster Final - winning that, and marching on to a semi-final. There is no easy games.
"They're all battles. It was a battle down at Páirc Uí Chaoimh and a battle against Clare. That's the beauty of hurling. It's great."

Following a disappointing 2025 campaign for Limerick, did Lynch find it easy or difficult to reset? "You're only mad to get going," Lynch responds.
"You're back with your clubs straightaway. When that's over, you're getting back in with the county set-up, getting back in with the lads. We just regrouped, went again, and drove on.
"It's brilliant, we've such a great group, 37 lads pushing week in, week out. Lads are continuously putting their hands up.
"You've the young guys who came into the panel this year or in the last few years, they're just pushing standards, pushing the lads that have been there a few extra years. It's massive."
Lynch's respect for Patrickswell - the club, community, and people runs deep. "There is a massive tradition in Patrickswell," Lynch says.
"Down through the years, you could name loads of lads that represented Patrickswell with Limerick. Even lads that probably never represented Limerick, they just drive the club.
"You've unsung heroes in Patrickswell that make the club what it is and make the community what it is - it is a special place."
For Limerick, it has been quite a decade since the 2018 All-Ireland triumph. "It has, we've had great days and made great memories," Lynch reflects. "We want to keep driving on, making more memories."
