Brian Hayes – Cork
Brian Hayes was the outstanding player on the pitch in Cork’s Munster SHC victory over Waterford. He scored a magnificent seven points from play and his ability to win possession made him a brilliant focal point in the Rebels attack.
Ben Conneely – Offaly
Ben Conneely had an outstanding game in defence for Offaly in their Leinster SHC draw with Kilkenny. He neutralised the threat of TJ Reid, made some huge blocks and hooks, and prevented a late Kilkenny goal with a brilliant interception to deny John Donnelly.
Donal Burke – Dublin
Donal Burke’s sweet striking was crucial for Dublin in their Leinster SHC victory over Wexford. The Na Fianna man scored 15 points, six of them from play, in a virtuoso display of shooting.
