Oliver Corr

Oliver Corr recalls his earliest memories of travelling to matches with his uncle Frankie, who was his childhood hero, and listening to the radio at his neighbours' house on match days. The interview mostly deals with his local club Coalisland na Fianna, where the Corr family has always been involved. he gives a record of the club successes, specially at underage level, great names and mentions Coalisland famous rivalry with Clonoe. He discusses the club history and how the Troubles and emigration had an impact on local life. He discusses his role in club adminsitration at various positions. He talks about his involvement in the cultural side of the GAA and expresses his love for Scor and the Irish language. He also refers to his life supporting Tyrone and recalls various trips to Croke Park. He also mentions Tyrone biggest rivals. In this interview Oliver also discusses more general topics such as the economical aspect of the GAA and Croke Park as a concert venue.
