Members of Carndonagh GAA talk about their involvement in the Association over the years. They talk about the club’s facilities in the past and what the club was like during the 1950s and 1960s. They talk about the history of hurling in the area and how the club was a hurling club until the 1930s. They discuss the impact of emigration on the club and how it disappeared in the 1970s. Paddy talks about emigrating in the early 1960s and playing with GAA clubs in Birmingham and London before moving to Australia and helping to set up a club there. They talk about their various roles in the club and Tom discusses training youth teams in the local school. Elizabeth discusses the club’s new facilities and the work that was done to improve their grounds. They talk about the importance of the GAA in the community and highlight their best memories from their time involved in the Association.
