Malachy Mahon

Malachy Mahon discusses the early days of hurling and football in his club, St Molaise Irvinestown, Fermanagh. He describes family involvement in the GAA and the development of his interest in football whilst attending a boarding school in Monaghan. Malachy talks about the role of the clergy in his community and the development of facilities at his club and around the county. He talks about his administrative career in the GAA and the issues that the GAA faced in these times. Malachy reflects upon the effects of The Troubles on the GAA in Fermanagh. He describes the importance of the GAA and what it has meant to him in his lifetime.
