James Linnane

Fr. James Linnane, from Ballydonoghue, Kerry, recalls his introcution to football and his involvement in school teams first as a player then as a coach when he started teaching himself. Training methods, as well players and games are discussed in this part of the interview. Fr. Linnane also explains his involvement in adminstrative duties. He later served as a parish priest in Duagh and discusses hthe importance of the GAA to the local community identity. he also evokes being a keen supporter of Kerry team and recalls his best All-Ireland final memories. Linnane also touches on the role of the media in the GAA, the Ban, the opening of Croke Park and other topics.
