Brian Maguire

Brian Maguire talks about his GAA experiences in different counties. He grew up in Fermanagh and played with his local club there, and later in a league with a factory team. He also spent time playing in Hollywood County Down and in Belfast with the St Gall's club. He and his wife eventually moved to Sligo, where Brian got involved with the Calry St Joseph's club. He coached underage teams for many years and describes the efforts they made to boost the profille of the GAA and attract more young people to Gaelic games. He also talks about hurling in Sligo and reflects on the improvements in coaching and playing standards over the years.
