Dublin came from three points down at half-time to beat Offaly at Parnell Park, with a scoring flourish in the final quarter ensuring a four-point win, Dean Rock hitting an impressive 0-9 over the course of the game.

Reigning champions Kildare came from behind to beat Carlow in Athy, with Pádraig Fogarty scoring a late goal to secure a one-point win for the Lilywhites.

Meanwhile, Westmeath earned their first win since May 2013 with an impressive 3-11 to 2-13 victory over DCU in Kinnegad. Meath enjoyed a 1-17 to 1-9 success over Longford in Páirc Tailteann, Navan
