AIB Ulster Senior Club Football Championship Semi-Final: Scotstown 2-9 Trillick 2-7
Scotstown will play Crossmaglen Rangers in the Ulster final following a narrow defeat of Trillick at Brewster Park on Sunday afternoon.
County star Darren Hughes was the star of the show for Scotstown, netting 2-2 in a top class display.
The Monaghan side led by 1-5 to 1-4 at the break, Hughes' goal canceling out a 17th minute from Trillick's Daniel McDonnell.
Hughes then hit another 1-1 to put his side into a commanding lead, but Trillick hit back once again, Niall Gormley finding the net for the Red Hand champions.
With 10 minutes to play, Scotstown were still a point up, but the final quarter was largely devoid of goalmouth action, with Rory Beggan nailing a late free to seal the win for his side.
