Queens 0-8 IT Sligo 1-9
There was heavy snow on the ground at the Dub in Belfast, but IT Sligo battled to a four-point extra-time win over Queens despite the difficult conditions.
Ryan Murray's extra-time penalty miss proved costly for Queens, as IT Sligo kicked on thereafter to seal the victory.
Evan Regan (Mayo) had found the net for IT Sligo in the first half to leave them one clear at the interval, but Armagh's Ciaron O'Hanlon, who finished with 0-6, helped restore parity by the end of normal time.
However, with both Ryan and Mark McHugh in action for the Connacht side, IT Sligo kicked on and advanced to the next stage of the competition.
