Jack McCaffrey is the GAA.ie Footballer of the Year for 2015.
Named on the GAA.ie Football Team of the Championship for 2015, which was announced on Tuesday, the Clontarf man gets the individual award after an outstanding season.
The commendation reads:
"He was absolutely outstanding for Dublin all summer long, producing consistently excellent displays in Dublin's seven matches, including in the All-Ireland final despite having been on a drip due to a gastric bug in the days leading up to the game.
"McCaffrey is rapidly improving as a defender, and his displays this season were typical of the overall increased vigilance of the Dublin rearguard. However, he is at his best when going forward and he caused damage to all of Dublin's opponents this year in that regard, his goal in the Leinster final against Westmeath a particular highlight.
"He managed a vital score in Sunday's final against Kerry, and McCaffrey is a sight to behold going forward. Still just 21 years old, he's on course to be one of the great wing backs."
