Lacey suffers hamstring strain in Donegal win
Karl Lacey is a doubt for Donegal's All-Ireland semi-final against Dublin on August 31 after he suffered a hamstring injury in his side's win over Armagh on Saturday.
The 2012 Footballer of the Year and four-time All Star played the full 70 minutes of Donegal's 1-12 to 1-11 win at Croke Park, but he will undergo a scan on his hamstring this week.
"Karl nicked his hamstring early in the game, but the type of player Karl is, he was determined to play on," Donegal manager Jim McGuinness said after the game. "We'll do all we can to have him right for the semi-final."
Lacey has enjoyed a fairly injury-free season to date, overcoming the various troubles which dogged his season in 2013.
He missed Donegal's Ulster semi-final win over Antrim in June with a hamstring strain, but he has played a full part in all their other matches, resuming his role at centre-half-back, from which he won the Footballer of the Year award in 2012.
