Kieran Hegarty RIP

Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Criostóir Ó Cuana has offered his sympathies on behalf of the GAA to the family of Kieran Hegarty who passed away on Tuesday night following a hurling training session in Co. Cork.

The 28 year old Shamrocks clubman from Shanbally, Ringaskiddy is surived by his partner Rose, mother Mary and sisters Susan and Sinéad.

The GAA President said: "Kieran typified everything that is good about our players. He played with his club from underage level up adult grades and competing in both football and hurling and he took great enjoyment in his involvement.

"I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family and wider circle of friends and hope that they can take solace in the support of the wider club circle at this challenging time."
