Geraghty ruled out for Meath
Veteran Meath attacker Graham Geraghty has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to injury.
The 38 year old, who returned to the Royals' panel earlier this year, ruptured the Achilles tendon in his right leg and as a result will miss out on this weekend's Qualifier clash against Galway in Navan.
Geraghty returned to the Meath panel after accepting an invitation from manager Seamus McEnaney after their dissapointing Allianz Football League Division II campaign and featured as a substitute in their opening Championship defeat to Kildare.
The 1999 All-Ireland winner had a late goal ruled out on that occasion but he hasn't tasted competitive action since then with injury forcing him out of their win over Louth. Should Meath win, Geraghty is not expected to feature again this year.
