Cluxton set to answer Ireland's call
Dublin's All-Ireland final hero, goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton, is expected to overcome his fear of flying to represent Ireland in next month's International Rules series in Australia.
Cluxton was Dublin's sole representative at a squad training session last Saturday morning and has committed to a series Down Under for the first time.
The 29-year-old Parnells clubman missed the 2003, '05 and '08 series in Australia because of his fear of flying.
However, Cluxton, who kicked the winning point in Dublin's All-Ireland final defeat of Kerry, has been part of three squads that played Australia on home soil, in 2002, '04 and 2010.
In that time he has made six appearances for his country, winning the Irish player of the tournament award in 2004.
