In the blistering Semple Stadium heat Cathal Mannion was ice cool converting chances for Galway in a Leinster Final replay thriller against Kilkenny.

Mannion struck six sweet points from play for the Tribesmen, who retained the Bob O'Keeffe Cup.

Aidan Nolan played an important role for Wexford against Westmeath at TEG Cusack Park, Mullingar on Saturday evening

The effective Nolan nailed four points from play for Davy Fitzgerald's outfit, who now face Clare this weekend in an interesting Quarter-Final encounter.

Throughout 2018 Aaron Gillane has been a key figure for Limerick, who proved far too strong for Carlow at Netwatch Cullen Park.

Gillane contributed 1-6 for John Kiely's team, but Limerick know that a much tougher test awaits against Kilkenny next weekend.
