CLARE 1-21 TIPPERARY 0-19
David Reidy's last gasp goal sealed victory for Clare against Tipperary.
Reidy, who finished the contest with a 1-8 haul, was hugely effective for the Banner, who finished strongly to secure the spoils.
It was a disappointing ending for Tipperary, who had clawed their way back into contention by drawing level in the closing stages.
But Clare responded in impressive fashion with Reidy and Tony Kelly nailing important scores for the home team.
Backed by the breeze in the opening half, Clare only led by 0-13 to 0-10 at the interval.
Clare edged further ahead early in the econd period, but Tipperary, with Jason Forde prominent, were back on level terms by the 58th minute.
From then until the finish Clare outscored Tipperary by 1-4 to 0-2 with Reidy supplying the insurance score at the death.
