Three goals from Armagh senior star, Ethan Rafferty, ultimately proved too little too late for Grange as they fell to a four-point defeat to Madden in the Armagh SFC Preliminary Round.
Madden were the dominant force for most of the match but it took them some time to make it count on the scoreboard until Conor Mone palmed a goal to the net just before half-time.
Donal Rafferty hit another goal for the winners in the second-half to move nine points ahead, and that was enough of a buffer to hold off Grange’s later Rafferty inspired comeback.

Once again, Killian Spillane was a key man for Templenoe, finishing with five points as they ground out a hard-fought win.
In the other semi-final, a Jack Savage penalty proved crucial for Kerins O’Rahillys as they defeated Spa by 1-16 to 0-16.
