TG4 today announced details of their schedule of GAA coverage for the springtime. Between this Sunday and April 1st there will be at least 35 games shown in full, either live or deferred. In a new departure for the channel, GAA BEO will now show three Allianz League games in full every Sunday, beginning on the 4th February, as well as extensive highlights of a number of other games each week. The channel’s highlights show, GAA 2018, also returns for another season, broadcasting exclusive highlights everyMonday evening at 8pm.
The year’s live fare begins this coming Sunday when TG4's cameras will be in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise to provide live coverage of the AIB All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship Semi-Final involving An Ghaeltacht (Kerry) and Moy Tír na nÓg (Tyrone) and the Bord na Móna O'Byrne Cup Football Final between Meath and Westmeath.
TG4's live coverage will begin at 1:45pm and will be presented by Micheál Ó Domhnaill with commentary and analysis by Brian Tyers, Aodhán Mac Gearailt and Mark Harte. The matches will also be broadcast live on the TG4 Player on www.tg4.ie.
The following weekend see's the beginning of the Allianz Hurling and Football Leagues and on Sunday 28 January GAA Beo will provide live coverage of Clare v Tipperary from Cusack Park and deferred coverage of Kerry v Donegal from Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney.
