At the inaugural meeting of Coiste Náisiúnta Scór 2021-2024 yesterday evening, 12th May, it was decided that priority be given to resuming and to bringing to a close the Scór Sinsir competitions outstanding from 2020. This will be done as soon as is possible and when it is safe to do so.
A decision was also made that Scór 2021 activity is to be cancelled with a decision to be made regarding the potential layout of Scór 2022 competitions at the next meeting of Coiste Náisiúnta Scór. Advice will be sought in the meantime from the GAA’s Covid Advisory Group along with other relevant health authorities on how best to facilitate Scór competitions in 2022.
Labhair Cathaoirleach Choiste Náisiúnta Scór, Tomás Ó Muirí, faoin gcinneadh seo a tógadh aréir.
'I am delighted we can now give clarity to competitors, administrators, organisers and supporters regarding Scór Sinsir 2020 and that we can now focus on how best to bring it to a close', said Tomás. 'The next step for us is to contact the GAA’s Covid Advisory Group as well as other health authorities for advice on how best to get Scór activity up and running. We will reveal our intentions in the not too distant future, as soon as we have a viable plan in place based on that advice.'
