The draws for the Semi-Finals of the Tailteann Cup and the Preliminary Quarter-Finals of the Sam Maguire Football Championships will take place tomorrow (Monday) on RTÉ Radio 1 Morning Ireland after the news at 8.30 am.

The draws will be conducted by Derek Kent, Chairman of the CCCC and Feargal McGill, GAA Director Player, Club and Games Administration.

Tailteann Cup – Semi-Final Draw

The four Quarter-Final winners, Down, Meath, Laois & Antrim, will be drawn to two Semi-Finals.

The Semi-Finals are subject to avoidance of repeat pairings from the overall championship where possible. The only repeat pairing is Down v Meath, which means that Down will play either Laois or Antrim and Meath will play either Laois or Antrim.

Due to the repeat pairing, for the draw format, Down & Meath will be in Bowl 1 and Antrim & Laois will be in Bowl 2. The first team drawn from Bowl 1 will play the first play drawn from Bowl 2, and the second team drawn from Bowl 1 will play the second team drawn from Bowl 2 to make up the two semi-finals.

The Semi-Finals are due to take place on Sunday, June 25th at Páirc an Chrócaigh, and the CCCC will confirm the times on Monday afternoon.

Sam Maguire Cup - Preliminary Quarter-Final Draw

The four second-placed teams from Round 1 (Group Stage), Kildare, Cork, Donegal & Galway, are drawn to play at home against the four third-placed teams, Roscommon, Mayo, Monaghan & Tyrone.

The draw is subject in the first instance to the avoidance of repeat Provincial Final pairings and where possible, repeat pairings from Round 1 (Group Stage).

Draw Format:

Bowl 1: Kildare, Cork, Donegal & Galway

Bowl 2: Roscommon, Mayo, Monaghan & Tyrone

Repeat Pairings: Kildare v Roscommon, Cork v Mayo, Donegal v Monaghan & Galway v Tyrone.

These games will take place on the weekend of June 24th /25th, and the CCCC will confirm details on Monday afternoon.
