Get Into Scór – Scór na nÓg 2022 Introductory Workshops Underway

UPDATE, 14 FEABHRA, 2022: MORE WORKSHOPS AND DISCIPLINES HAVE BEEN ADDED DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND - SEE BELOW

Following on from Coiste Náisiúnta Scór’s announcement of the 2022 Scór na nÓg All-Ireland Final dates the committee is delighted to announce that it's introductory workshops are ready to get underway. These workshops are open to all GAA members clubs wishing to participate in Scór na nÓg activity in the weeks ahead.

Those who may have missed a workshop are welcome to join in at any stage over the course of the next few weeks.

Explaining what these workshops entail, dúirt Cathaoirleach Choiste Náisiúnta Scór, Tomás Ó Muirí:

‘We are delighted to provide these workshops to members and clubs wishing to take part in Scór na nÓg this year. Our young participants will have an opportunity to learn more about Scór and how to get involved and take part.

‘Among the different workshops that will be taking place over the coming weeks are the ‘Amhránaíocht Aonair’, or Solo Singing’ workshops for 8-12 year olds and for 13-17 year olds, a Tráth na gCeist workshop, a script writing ‘Nuachleas’ or Novelty Act workshop and a ‘Bailéad-Ghrúpa’, or Balled Group, workshop for mentors and adults.

‘We encourage all those looking to take part in Scór this year to use this opportunity to prepare and find out more about Scór competitions. The workshops will be delivered by experienced past and present adult competitors and will give all those looking to take part an opportunity to familiarise themselves with what Scór is all about.

‘Tá Scór mar chuid lárnach de Chumann Lúthchleas Gael agus tá deis ag ceoltóirí, damhsóirí, scéalaithe agus amhránaithe óga a gcuid tallainne a chur ar an stáitse mór trí Scór.’
