Croke Park featured in new TG4 series Goirt Órga

Croke Park will feature prominently in TG4’s new series, Goirt Órga, which celebrates the world’s great sporting arenas, at home and abroad.

Episode 1 will be broadcast tomorrow night at 9.30pm, with Croke Park featuring in Episode 2 when Dara Ó Cinnéide is granted unique access behind the scenes for the 2022 All-Ireland SHC hurling final.

The former Kerry footballer will follow a cast of characters at the heart of the action in a bid to discover why Ireland’s favourite sporting event occupies such a special place in the sporting imagination of the Irish people.

The series is produced by Loosehorse productions, who also produced the critically acclaimed documentary, All-Ireland Day, which went behind the scenes with some of the key protagonists of the 2015 All-Ireland SFC Final.
