Club Officer Training 2024
The GAA, LGFA, and Camogie Association have announced the next phase of training for Club Officers.
The GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association are pleased to confirm the next phase of Club Officer training scheduled for the first few months of 2024.
The Association’s Officer Development Committee has worked closely with the Provincial Councils, LGFA and Camogie Association to make a range of modules from the Club Leadership Development.
Paddy Flood, Chairperson of the Officer Development Committee, is delighted that Club Officers receive significant support. "It brings me great pleasure to announce the launch of the latest iteration of the Club Leadership Development Programme," he says.
"Comprised of dedicated volunteers from the GAA, LGFA, and Camogie Association, the GAA Officer Development Committee is a collective of individuals with invaluable experience in Club and County roles, now passionately committed to supporting Club Officers with practical courses and resources to fulfil their roles confidently and competently."
Training workshops provide valuable assistance according to Flood. "A stand-out element in this updated format is the incorporation of in-person workshops across each Province on the theme of 'Building Effective Club Executive Teams,'," he adds.
"These workshops, delivered by trained facilitators, promise to be an enriching experience that allow for the sharing of good practices and networking among Officers. I extend a warm invitation to all Club Officers to participate in the programme and hope to see you at an event in the New Year.”
I take special pride in introducing the enhanced learning pathway within the CLDP. This exciting new curriculum gives a Club Officers a well-structured learning plan that leads to a Certificate in Club Leadership from the Gaelic Games Associations. This carefully planned framework equips Officers with the clarity to start their learning journey, guides them through the next steps, and ensures effective progress.
Programme (CLDP) available to both new and existing Club Officers.
