Eamonn Cregan retired from hurling management following Mary I's Fitzgibbon Cup win on Saturday against city rivals and reigning champions UL.
"Yes I loved it but today is the last day. I’m delighted that we have gone out on a winning note, that is my finale with Mary I. The achievement is up there with the Liam McCarthy," said Cregan, a Limerick native who managed Offaly to the All-Ireland title in 1994.
