London SHC Final

St. Gabriel’s 4-15 Robert Emmetts 3-12

St Gabriels claimed their first London SHC title since 2018 and their 18th in all thanks to a convincing six-point victory over Robert Emmetts in today’s Final.

The winners got off to the perfect start when Conor O’Carroll’s splendid goal helped them into an early seven-point lead.

Emmetts eventually found their feet and a goal from Benny McCarry closed the gap to two points. They kept the pressure on and moved ahead by one thanks to a Kevin O’Loughlin point.

But it was St. Gabriel’s who had the final say of the half when O’Carroll struck for his second goal to give his team a three-point lead at the break.

They stretched that advantage further early in the second-half when O’Carroll landed a point and then Sean Glynn scored a spectacular goal after scything through the Emmetts defence.

A Kevin O’Loughlin goal briefly gave Emmetts hope, but Gabriels then killed the game off when Shane Lawless scored their fourth major.
