In a lively encounter at Darver, Offaly eventually shrugged off Antrim's spirited resistance.

Offaly settled quickly with Odhran Fletcher and Cillian Wynne bagging first half goals.

Antrim, though, were resilient, and only trailed by the minimum, 2-6 to 0-11 at the break.

After the restart the Saffrons edged ahead in the third quarter, but Offaly responded impressively.

Brian Guinan's 53rd minute goal pushed Offaly 3-15 to 0-16 clear with Oisín McCallan netting a consolation goal for Antrim in the closing stages.

Meath defeated a gritty outfit Wicklow in Aughrim.

The Royals led 1-7 to 1-5 at half-time, but enjoyed a productive burst to move seven points clear.

Wicklow battled on defiantly, but Meath registered an encouraging win.
