The public has voted Wexford’s Rory O’Connor the GAA.ie Hurler of the Week. The classy attacker received 3,468 votes on the GAA’s Instagram page which put him ahead of Kilkenny’s Padraig Walsh (2,282), and Dublin’s Fergal Whitely (2,001).

Rory O’Connor (Wexford)

Wexford sharp-shooter Rory O’Connor has been on fire so far this year. He was their man again in Sunday’s win over Cork, scoring 1-12, of which 1-6 came from play.

Padraig Walsh (Kilkenny)

Walsh’s relocation from defence to attack has been a huge success so far this year for Kilkenny. He excelled again on Sunday against Waterford, scoring five points from play and winning a huge amount of ball.

Fergal Whitely (Dublin)

Kilmacud Crokes man Fergal Whitely had had a prolific League campaign and saved his best yet for Sunday’s win over Laois. He scored seven points from play and ran himself into the ground.
