The Cork forward received 3, 917 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Tipperary's Gearoid O'Connor (1, 740), and Clare's Mark Rodgers (1, 589).

Robbie O'Flynn (Cork)

Robbie O'Flynn took the fight to Limerick for Cork in their one point win over the All-Ireland champions. He scored 1-1 from play and troubled the Limerick defence throughout with his direct running. 

Gearoid O'Connor (Tipperary)

Newcomer Gearoid O'Connor has enjoyed a fine start to the season for Tipperary and was very impressive again in their comfortable win over Laois on Saturday. The powerful centre-forward finished with a personal tally of 0-11, three points of which came from play.

Mark Rodgers (Clare)

Full-forward Rodgers was outstanding for Clare in their convincing Allianz Hurling League win over Westmeath. He scored two cracking first-half goals and finished with a personal tally of 2-2.
