Oranmore-Maree's Niall Burke has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

Burke, who scored 1-11 in the AIB All Ireland Intermediate Club Final, earned 5,171 votes on the Official GAA Instagram page with Castleblayney's Fergal Rafter second, and Dunnamaggin's John Fitzpatrick third.

An absorbing AIB All Ireland Intermediate decider was ultimately decided by Niall Burke's brilliance for Oranmore-Maree.

The Galway outfit trailed by seven points in the first half, but ended up winning by six with Burke striking 1-11.

Castleblayney came close to causing a massive shock against Dunnamaggin before the Kilkenny club eventually earned AIB All Ireland Junior honours.

Fergal Rafter was excellent for Castleblayney scoring nine points, including two gorgeous efforts from play.

John Fitzpatrick was the star of the show for Dunnamaggin registering 1-3 as they eventually defeated Castleblayney.

Fitzpatrick, who was a threat throughout, landed a critical point in the closing stages as Dunnamaggin pulled clear late on.
