Kilkenny midfielder Michael Fennelly has been ruled out of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final through injury.
The Kilkenny County Board revealed last night that the eight-time All-Ireland winner ruptured his achilles tendon in Saturday's All-Ireland SHC Semi-Final replay against Waterford.
In a short statement released on Twitter, they confirmed the injury would force Fennelly to miss the Final against Tipperary on September 4 and wished him well with his recovery.
