Galway withdraw motion at GAA Congress
Galway will hold talks with the GAA.
The Galway County Board withdrew motion 28 seeking permission to allow their hurlers play at minor, U-21, and Intermediate level in Leinster.
Galway Chairman Pat Kearney is happy to continue negotiations with GAA officials in the coming weeks.
"We don't want to be divisive," Kearney said at GAA Congress. "We hope we'll be talking with everyone and moving this on together in the next couple of weeks."
Uachtarán Chumann Luthchleas Gael Aogán Ó Fearghail praised Pat Kearney for withdrawing the motion and insisted that the needs of Galway and Ulster hurling counties will be addressed.
