Gearóid Hegarty – Limerick
Gearóid Hegarty has a habit of producing big performances in All-Ireland Finals and did it again on Sunday by scoring 1-5 from play, winning a huge amount of hard ball, and putting in some big hits.
Diarmaid Byrnes – Limerick
Byrnes crowned a superb year with another powerful performance on Sunday. His point from play was outrageously good, he scored four more from placed balls, and hoovered up a huge amount of possession.
Huw Lawlor – Kilkenny
Lawlor was an absolute rock in the Kilkenny full-back line. He won his duel with Aaron Gillane and nipped danger in the bud time and again thanks to trademark mixture of athleticism and anticipation.
