It was a busy hurling weekend with the Lory Meagher, Nicky Rackard, and Christy Ring Cup finals on Saturday, and Leinster and Munster Championship action on Sunday.

Several outstanding displays were delivered with Waterford's excellent win over Clare at Semple Stadium a fine result for Derek McGrath's improving team.

Austin Gleeson starred in that success and is nominated, while Shane Dooley's 1-11 haul in Offaly's triumph over Laois was notable.

Inspired by the instrumental Kenny Feeney, who scored 1-9, Mayo enjoyed a Nicky Rackard Cup win over Armagh at Croke Park.

The voting process is simple: retweet the image of your chosen player on the GAA's official Twitter account or like their image on the GAA's official Facebook and Instagram pages.

The versatile Gleeson scored six points, including five from play, for the Deise.

Mount Sion clubman Gleeson remains an influential figure for Derek McGrath's team, who advanced to the provincial decider.

Shane Dooley - Offaly

Following a tough afternoon in Cusack Park, Mullingar a month ago when losing to Westmeath, Offaly's response has been encouraging.

Victories over Carlow, Kerry, and Laois suggest Eamonn Kelly's team are moving in the right direction again.

Shane Dooley's relevance and scores in those three wins shouldn't be underestimated.

On Sunday against Laois Dooley struck frees with trademark accuracy accumulating an important 1-11 haul.

Kenny Feeney impressed for Mayo at Croke Park.
